Extensions for probing tools
If probing tools are used, as in flush
trimming or when using a tool unit with a scraper, it
must be ensured that the probing heads will always rest
properly on the workpiece surface. This is often
somewhat difficult, especially during Lead-In and
Lead-Out, since, e.g., the edge of the adjacent contour
may still be protruding from the immediately preceding
machining operation. In such cases, the tool unit has to
be swiveled forward to avoid a collision with the
probing head. This evasive movement is also supported by
PASCAM Bea in a simple and safe way, while users retain
full control of the process.
