Setup

To create a CNC program, it is necessary to define the exact position of the workpiece when setting it up on the machine table. In PASCAM Bea, after the first clamping, the component can be re-clamped in the machine as often as required.
In practice, wood-based materials occasionally have deviations from their nominal dimensions. For precise manufacturing, it is necessary to take these dimensional tolerances into account. PASCAM Bea provides the definition of measurements in all directions of the workpieces and indicates the details of the effect of those dimensional deviations on the machining operations.
In order for the machine or the machine operator to determine the correct position of the clamping elements, certain areas can be defined to be blocked on the workpiece where clamping devices are prohibited to be used. These blocked areas can be specified manually by the designer of the production model or determined automatically by PASCAM Bea.
For many applications, it is useful to determine the exact outside contour of the workpiece for setup. This can be done manually or automatically in PASCAM Bea.
