The central component of VariXPASCAM is the PASCAM Variable management table, where all available dimensions of a SOLIDWORKS® model can be treated as variables and can be intelligently controlled by means of self-created equation terms - across all existing components and subassemblies of the underlying SOLIDWORKS® model!

The different dimensions of the SOLIDWORKS® model are displayed hierarchically in a spreadsheet structure to manage them more easily. You can hide individual components or sub-assemblies just by a mouse click, giving you a better view on the relevant dimensions you are working on at the moment. Input boxes in the table header enable the advanced reduction of displayed variables in the table, by entering search terms or values (common wildcard symbols available). Additional intelligent filtering functions also help to ensure quick and easy access to relevant table content by reducing the display to the desired values​​.

Equation terms for intelligent design variants can be assembled and edited quick and easy by dragging and dropping operations in the variable table, the direct selection of dimensions in the SOLIDWORKS® model and by keyboard entry.

The illustration of the PASCAM Variable management table at the top depicts the display option of a 'vertical split view', which is simplifying and accelerating considerably the paste & copy operations which can be done across several sub-assemblies and components from one spreadsheet to the other. Users who work with extensive assemblies and/or users who always work with the PASCAM Variable management window open on a secondary computer monitor like this option very much, because the primary monitor is kept free for the work on the SOLIDWORKS® model.
